BBI International and NEAtech form venture to develop bioenergy consulting service



 

By Greentech Lead Team ; BBI International, a producer of bioenergy
events and trade magazines, and NEAtech, a technology-based engineering and
consulting firm, have partnered to develop a new international consulting
service, BBI Consulting Services.


The service will help both firms deliver
additional expertise to customers who are conceptualizing, developing or
refining their bioenergy projects by utilizing existing resources.


“We are excited about offering a
consulting service to our customers. This venture is the first step in helping
companies associated with BBI International gain valuable insight on their
current and future projects,” said Joe
Bryan, president and chief executive officer of BBI International.


The new venture will have the ability to
offer a breadth of bioenergy consulting to thousands of companies and
organizations worldwide, as well as state and federal departments in the United
States. Rafael Nieves and Mark Yancey of NEAtech will lead the consulting
group.


Rafael Nieves has worked in the bioenergy
sector for over 28 years. He has extensive experience nationally and
internationally managing bioenergy projects in North America, Australia,
Philippines, Ghana, Armenia, Indonesia and the Ukraine.


“This venture will allow us to combine
our expertise with BBI’s knowledge and resources. It is a win-win for NEAtech,
BBI International and the customers we will be able to serve,” said Rafael
Nieves.


Mark Yancey has 35 years of experience in
the fields of bioenergy and environmental engineering including extensive
experience in project development and economic analysis for first and second
generation biofuels facilities.


BBI International has
already helped hundreds of companies plan and execute successful projects, this
new joint venture with NEAtech will reintroduce BBI International’s consulting
service to thousands of new businesses worldwide. 


BBI International recently announced five
new program tracks for the 5th annual International Biomass Conference
& Expo, North America’s largest and fastest growing biomass conference,
taking place April 16-19, 2012 in Denver, CO.
