Galicia Approves 26.4 MW Paxareiras II Wind Farm with Five Nordex Turbines

Authorities in Spain’s Galicia region have granted administrative and construction authorisations for the 26.4 MW Paxareiras II wind farm in the municipalities of Cee and Dumbría, A Coruña province. The project is being developed by AV Paxareiras. The approved configuration comprises five Nordex N163 turbines, replacing an earlier design involving eight smaller Vestas machines. The revised turbine arrangement maintains the project’s authorised 26.4 MW grid connection capacity. The approval covers generation equipment and associated electricity evacuation infrastructure. The developer must provide an environmental restoration guarantee of approximately €370,000. The decision was published in Galicia’s official gazette on October 7, 2026. Construction expenditure and the expected commissioning date were not disclosed.

Nadara Signs 200 GWh Annual Wind Power Agreement with BKW in France

Renewable-energy producer Nadara has signed a power purchase agreement with Swiss energy company BKW covering approximately 200 GWh of annual electricity generation from nine wind farms in France. BKW will purchase the renewable electricity and supply it to customers through subsidiary Volterres. The agreement provides a contracted sales arrangement for Nadara’s existing French wind portfolio. Nadara was established through the combination of Ventient Energy and Renantis and is backed by infrastructure investment funds managed by JPMorgan Asset Management. The company also has a separate 10-year power purchase agreement with Trafigura covering electricity from approximately 434 MW of wind and solar capacity in Spain. Financial consideration, contract duration and individual French wind farm capacities were not disclosed.

Alter Enersun Commits More Than €250 Million to Solar Supply for Moeve’s Green Hydrogen Project

Spanish renewable-energy developer Alter Enersun has signed a long-term power purchase agreement to supply renewable electricity to Moeve’s Onuba green hydrogen project in Palos de la Frontera, Huelva. Alter Enersun plans to invest more than €250 million in renewable generation infrastructure supporting the project. The agreement covers approximately 500 GWh of annual renewable electricity supply from developments including La Luz and Puerto Sostenible in Huelva. Onuba represents the first phase of Moeve’s Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley development. Alter Enersun will manage engineering, construction and long-term operation of the associated renewable generation facilities. The electricity supply arrangement combines local photovoltaic generation, direct consumption and contracted renewable electricity. Individual solar plant capacities and commissioning dates were not disclosed.
