SECI Invites Bids for 120 MW Solar and 240 MWh Battery Storage Project in Bihar
Solar Energy Corporation of India has issued a tender for a 120 MWac solar photovoltaic project integrated with a 60 MW/240 MWh battery energy storage system in Aurangabad district, Bihar. The procurement notice was published on October 9, 2026. The four-hour battery will be designed to store solar electricity and deliver power outside normal photovoltaic generation periods. The contract covers design, engineering, equipment supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning. The successful contractor will also provide five years of operation and maintenance services. The project forms part of SECI’s expanding renewable-energy development programme in eastern India. The engineering, procurement and construction contract value and final commissioning schedule have not yet been disclosed.
Actis Acquires 244 MW/1,141 MWh Battery Storage Portfolio from DRI in Poland
Infrastructure investor Actis has agreed to acquire two battery energy storage projects from DRI in Poland, representing 244 MW of power capacity and 1,141 MWh of storage. The transaction covers the 112 MW/518 MWh Kozienice project, already acquired and ready for construction, and the 132 MW/623 MWh Trzebinia project, whose acquisition will complete after the facility becomes operational. Both projects hold 17-year inflation-indexed capacity market contracts. The acquisitions expand Actis’ recently established Polish renewable-energy platform, which also includes a 171 MW wind portfolio acquired through Klara Renewables. Actis is targeting approximately 1.5 GW of wind, solar and battery capacity through the platform. Financial consideration was not disclosed.
