PNE and Enercon Plan 98 MW Wind Plus 70 MWh Battery Energy Park in Germany
PNE and Enercon are jointly developing the Beerfelde energy park in Brandenburg, combining 98 MW of wind generation with a 32.2 MW/70.21 MWh battery. The wind component will use 14 Enercon E-175 turbines rated at 7 MW each. Annual electricity generation is estimated at approximately 276,400 MWh, equivalent to consumption by around 74,300 three-person households, while avoiding about 210,000 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions annually. A double substation with two GE Grid transformers will integrate the generation and storage. The hybrid design is intended to optimise existing grid infrastructure while shifting surplus wind production into periods when electricity demand is stronger.
Sungrow Hydrogen Wins 21 MW Electrolyser Order for Polish Green Hydrogen Project
Sungrow Hydrogen has secured a firm contract to supply a 21 MW PEM electrolyser system for Promet-Plast’s green-hydrogen project at Gaj Oławski in Poland. The development will combine hydrogen production with approximately 49.36 MW of wind and solar generation and is designed to produce around 1,701 tonnes of RFNBO-compliant renewable hydrogen annually. The hydrogen is intended primarily for transport applications and the natural-gas network. The project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 57,000 tonnes per year. ELQ will serve as general contractor. Sungrow describes the order as Poland’s largest PEM electrolyser contract to date, while its accumulated electrolyser orders across more than 10 countries have exceeded 1 GW.
Constellation Signs 115 MW Texas Solar PPA Supporting Toyota Renewable Energy Target
Constellation Energy has entered a long-term power purchase agreement covering more than 115 MW from Ferrovial Energy’s Milano Solar project in Texas, with the associated renewable-energy certificates going to Toyota Motor North America. The agreement covers about 246,000 MWh of renewable electricity annually for 15 years. Milano Solar is a 204 MW photovoltaic project in Milam County, with Toyota’s commitment underpinning a portion of its output through Constellation’s CORe renewable-energy product. The transaction provides long-term revenue support for new solar generation while helping Toyota advance its renewable-electricity objectives. It is another example of corporate demand directly supporting utility-scale US solar construction through structured PPA and REC arrangements.
