DMEGC Solar said its Lianyungang Factory has become the first photovoltaic facility to receive the ISO 14068 Organizational Carbon Neutrality Achievement Verification Statement, issued by TUV SUD.
On the same day, the company’s three factories in Sihong, Lianyungang, and Yibin were awarded the Organizational Carbon Verification Statement and Green Energy Consumption Verification Statement. TUV SUD verified these facilities’ carbon neutrality and 100 percent green energy consumption in line with ISO 14064-3:2019 and GHG Protocol standards.
The Lianyungang base offset its carbon emissions by purchasing carbon credits from international voluntary emission reduction projects, making it a “Carbon Neutral Factory.”
The company aims for carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Its efforts include increasing green energy usage, developing zero-carbon factories, and enhancing environmental management.
DMEGC Solar has six production bases worldwide, with a target of reaching 23GW of cell production and 21GW of module production capacity by the end of 2024. The company completed 45GW of cumulative module shipments.
