Reuters: In Trump’s first year, U.S. agency doubles solar investments abroad

The United States government has doubled its financial support for solar power projects in foreign countries during President Donald Trump’s first year in office. The Overseas Private Investment Corporation loaned more than $630 million to foreign energy projects in 2017, 90 percent of which were solar, wind, or other low-carbon ventures.
