Vestas has announced three new wind energy orders in Europe totaling 191 MW, strengthening its project pipeline for the Northern and Central Europe region. The new contracts, unveiled on 11 December 2025, cover two projects in Germany and one in Poland, highlighting continued demand for Vestas’ high-capacity turbines and long-term service solutions.

The orders form part of the company’s Q4 intake and include turbine deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2027, along with multiyear service agreements designed to maximise energy output and ensure long-term operational reliability.

Germany: Uhl Windkraft selects Vestas for the 79 MW Schnabelwaid project

Uhl Windkraft has awarded Vestas a 79 MW order for the Schnabelwaid wind project in Germany.
The project will deploy 11 V172-7.2 MW turbines, one of Vestas’ most efficient models for sites requiring high-yield performance with reduced sound constraints.

Capacity: 79 MW

Turbines: 11 x V172-7.2 MW

Service: 25-year AOM 5000 service agreement

Delivery: Begins Q1 2027

Commissioning: Starts Q3 2027

The long-term AOM 5000 contract underscores the customer’s commitment to ensuring the lifetime efficiency of the turbines. The model’s large rotor diameter helps maximise annual energy production, making it suitable for Germany’s ongoing repowering and greenfield development needs.

Germany: wpd GmbH orders 80 MW for the Reinstedt Repowering project

wpd GmbH has placed an 80 MW order as part of the Reinstedt Repowering project.
The project will replace older turbines with newer, higher-capacity models, boosting overall output and improving the efficiency of the site.

Capacity: 80 MW

Turbines: 11 x V162-6.2 MW and 2 x V150-6.0 MW

Service: 15-year AOM 4000 service agreement

Delivery: Begins Q2 2026

Commissioning: Starts Q4 2026

The mix of V162 and V150 turbines allows wpd to optimise performance for the site’s wind conditions while meeting planning and grid requirements. Repowering continues to be a major growth driver in Germany, and this project reflects the country’s increasing shift toward modern, high-capacity turbine technology.

Poland: Greenvolt Power Group orders 32 MW for the Lubień project

In Poland, FW LUBIEŃ 1 SP. Z o.o. and Greenvolt Power Group have ordered turbines for the 32 MW Lubień wind project. The project will feature Vestas’ widely deployed V150-4.0 MW turbines.

Capacity: 32 MW

Turbines: 8 x V150-4.0 MW

Service: 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement

Delivery: Begins Q1 2027

Commissioning: Starts Q2 2027

Poland continues to expand its onshore wind capacity, and Vestas remains one of the leading turbine suppliers in the market. The long-term service agreement will ensure high availability and optimised performance across the project lifespan.

Strengthening Vestas’ position in Europe’s onshore wind market

With these three orders, Vestas reinforces its strong presence in the EMEA region at a time when Europe is accelerating onshore wind development and repowering projects to meet 2030 renewable energy commitments. The orders demonstrate continued customer confidence in Vestas’ portfolio of high-rotor, high-efficiency turbines across diverse wind conditions.
