Nordex to supply 37.5MW turbines for Poland wind farm

Nordex, the wind turbine manufacturer from Germany has grabbed a contract for supplying and installing nine N100/2500 series wind turbines for Orla wind farm in Poland.

The wind farm of 37.5MW will complete the construction in two phases.

The annual energy production from the wind farm is estimated to be 10GWh, providing a capacity factor of 33 percent.

The first phase will consist of nine turbines, with a quick delivery demand and the operation will commence in December.

The second phase installation of six turbines will be ordered and commissioned by mid-2015.

Moreover, the wind farm will help in neutralizing approx. 57,000 tons of carbon emission every year.

The plant is owned by C&C Wind, an international private-equity investors and an independent power producer, and the major portion of financing is contributed by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, board member, management, Nordex, commented on the development, This is going to be the first realization from company’s pipeline of own developed projects in Poland and a good illustration of how Nordex can provide more value to the market with quality projects.
