Chinese integrated photovoltaics manufacturer Zhongli Talesun is to supply its products for total capacity of 222 megawatts to Indian project developer ACME Cleantech Solutions.
Delivery of shipments has started this month and is expected to be completed by February next.
According to ACME chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, the company could award a follow-up contract of 500 megawatts to Zhongli next year.
Zhongli has had a tough first half this year. It reported net loss of about $33.5 million in the period.
However, the company has been building its downstream photovoltaic business and has a pipeline of more than 1 gigawatt and more than 630MW in various stages of construction.
Zhongli has teamed with Huawei to provide an internet-based remote monitoring system for handling more than 2GW of photovoltaic capacity.
Further, the company is building a 500MW integrated solar cell and module assembly plant in Thailand.
