Zhongli has had a tough first half this year. It reported net loss of about $33.5 million in the period.

However, the company has been building its downstream photovoltaic business and has a pipeline of more than 1 gigawatt and more than 630MW in various stages of construction.

Zhongli has teamed with Huawei to provide an internet-based remote monitoring system for handling more than 2GW of photovoltaic capacity.

Further, the company is building a 500MW integrated solar cell and module assembly plant in Thailand.
