Origis Energy secures $415 mn for Swift Air Solar in Texas

Origis Energy has secured $415 million for the Swift Air Solar project in Ector County, Texas. The project is under construction and will begin operations in mid-2025. The funding includes construction, debt, and tax equity financing from Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Advantage Capital. Swift Air Solar will supply solar power to Occidental’s Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility in the Permian Basin. This project combines solar power with carbon capture.

Energy Toolbase and Hawaii Unified Install Energy Storage in Hawaii

Energy Toolbase has partnered with Hawaii Unified to install an energy management system at a golf club in Kihei, Hawaii. The system includes a 125kW/352kWh energy storage system and a 174.80 kW solar array. The system uses an ETB Controller with Acumen AI to manage energy use and reduce energy exports. This project uses solar energy storage and management to improve efficiency.

Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube (MLP&T) has partnered with Chaberton Energy to install a solar power system at its 44-acre campus in Chicago. The system will cover 24 acres and reduce carbon emissions by 282,000 metric tons. It will provide clean energy to the community through a solar program. This is MLP&T’s first solar installation in the U.S.
