Seraphim Energy Group, a solar module manufacturer from China, has entered into a solar module supply agreement with ERS Energy Group of Companies (ERS Group), based in Malaysia.

The agreement, signed on June 21, 2023, entails Seraphim supplying high-efficiency solar modules for ERS Group’s 300-megawatt (MW) ground-mounted power station in Zambales Province, Philippines. The module supply is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2023 and conclude by the second quarter of 2024.

Under this agreement, Seraphim will primarily provide 550/555W high-efficiency modules to ERS Group. These modules incorporate multi-busbar cell technology and high-density packaging, resulting in lower internal losses and a reduced risk of micro cracks. These features are expected to significantly enhance power generation efficiency and contribute to a decrease in Balance of System (BOS) costs.

As a prominent global manufacturer of photovoltaic products, Seraphim has been strategically investing in the Philippines since 2016. The company continually optimizes its product performance and service levels to align with the unique requirements and installation conditions of local projects. Seraphim aims to meet customers’ needs effectively in the region.

Insan Boy, Vice President of Global Sales at Seraphim, expressed confidence in the collaboration with ERS Group, emphasizing its role in achieving the company’s sustainable development goals in clean energy. Seraphim envisions bringing positive impacts to the Philippine economy, environment, and social development, as well as the local communities.

ERS Group, headquartered in Malaysia, is a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction services.

Seraphim holds an impressive portfolio of over a hundred technology patents, and its photovoltaic products, totaling 20 gigawatts, have been widely utilized in more than 100 countries and numerous regions across the globe.
