ReneSola to develop 22.5 MW of projects in Japan

Energy efficient photovoltaic technology provider ReneSola has acquired development rights for 22.5 MW capacity of ground-mounted, utility-scale solar projects in Japan.

Most projects in the lot are to commence production and be grid-connected beginning in late 2015 and early 2016. The projects will utilize photovoltaic modules of Renesola, specifically the company’s top-rated Virtus II module.

Renesola plans to continue its expansion in downstream projects in Japan.

Sungrow office in India

Photovoltaic inverter manufacturer Sungrow is set to open an office in the south Indian city Bangalore, Karnataka.

Sungrow, whose inverters — ranging from string and central inverters to turnkey container solutions — of total capacity of 30 MW are in use in India, hopes to improve its support services for projects and partners in India through the move.
