Greening secures contract for 60 MWac photovoltaic power plant in Indiana

Greening USA has secured a major contract to construct a 60 MWac photovoltaic power plant in Indiana, supplying renewable energy to a large technology company. Financial details were not disclosed.

Project scope: The Jasper County Solar Project will cover 452 acres (183 hectares) and generate 60 MWac, supporting Indiana’s renewable energy transition and local job creation.

Strategic growth: This project reinforces Greening’s commitment to the U.S. market, which now accounts for 40 percent of the company’s portfolio, as outlined in their 2024-2026 strategic plan.

Partnership with Zelestra: Renewable energy will be sold through a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) purchase agreement with the end customer, facilitated by Zelestra.

Timeline: Construction is set to begin in Q4 2024, with completion expected by Q4 2025. This initiative supports Indiana’s shift towards a carbon-free future.
