Clenergy, a solar solution provider, recently completed a 3.8MW rooftop PV project in Shropshire, U.K., utilizing its Trapezoidal commercial roof mounting system.

EvoEnergy, a partner of Clenergy, has completed the installation at the Telford distribution center of Lyreco, a provider of workplace supplies.

Clenergy in a statement said this project, one of the five largest commercial rooftop arrays in Great Britain, will generate 3.2MWh per year, reducing emissions by 1,700 tons annually and saving Lyreco around 53,000 British pounds per year.

The company has developed the PV-ezRack Trapezoidal commercial roof mounting system for PV-systems on trapezoidal sheet roofs with thicknesses of 0.4mm and above. The system is made of anodized aluminium rails with an EVA coating and special screws that enable it to be screwed in without chipping.

The roof of this project consists of both 0.63 gauge Quedron and 0.4 gauge Kingspan top sheets. The company carried out pull-out tests to ensure the optimum screw for the project was selected.

“We selected Clenergy Trapezoidal mounting because it is a simple, fast and easy system to deploy and because the service provided by Clenergy is excellent,” said James Sutton, project manager for EvoEnergy.
