Astonfield Solesa Solar commissions 100KW hybrid system in Tamil Nadu

Astonfield Solesa Solar, a joint venture of power producer Astonfield Renewables and Solesa, an engineering and solar project management company, has commissioned a 100 KW ground-mounted solar-diesel hybrid system for Indo Shell Cast, an iron manufacturer.

The venture employs customizable solar-diesel hybrid system, which integrates solar photo voltaic cells with existing diesel generators and grid power that ensure uninterrupted power supply.

By using this method, companies can save up to 30-40 percent on their diesel fuel costs. The system is expected to produce around 150 MWh per year.

Srini Viswanathan, managing director, Solesa Solar Engineering said, “The customers can save on their power bills by integrating this hybrid control technology and solar PV-diesel system with their existing power supply. Provided with a payback period of three years or less, this investment in uninterrupted power makes the businesses cost competitive.”

Sushil Vohra, head, business development, Astonfield, India said, “ The offered solutions are scalable and customizable to building type and power need, enabling a smooth management of power supply even in fluctuating load conditions. They are designed to prevent downtime and performance degradation, increasing cost-efficiency.”
