Inox Clean Acquires 250 MWp Solar Portfolio from SunSource

Inox Clean Energy Limited, part of the INOXGFL Group, has expanded its renewable footprint through its IPP arm, Inox Neo Energies Limited, by acquiring around 250 MWp of operational solar assets from SunSource Energy Private Limited, with a further ~50 MWp under acquisition pending approvals. SunSource is a wholly owned subsidiary of Netherlands-based SHV Energy.The acquired portfolio spans 13 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, and is operated via multiple SPVs supplying power to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. The projects benefit from long-term PPAs averaging about 24 years, serving marquee clients such as Britannia Industries, Jubilant Foodworks, Hitachi Energy and Max Healthcare. The transaction marks a significant milestone in Inox Clean’s strategy to achieve 3 GW of renewable capacity by FY26, strengthening its customer base and integrated renewable energy platform.

Servotech Enters Electric Three-Wheeler Market with New Battery, Charger and Solar Inverter

Servotech Renewable Power System announced its entry into India’s fast-growing electric three-wheeler segment, expanding its clean mobility portfolio. The announcement was made at the company’s flagship annual event, SUNKALP. As part of the move, Servotech unveiled SULTAN, a lithium-ion battery specifically engineered for electric three-wheelers, and Zest, a dedicated battery charger designed to improve charging efficiency and vehicle uptime for OEMs, dealers and distributors. The SULTAN battery, available in 51.2V/105Ah and 64V/105Ah variants, uses LFP chemistry to deliver a lighter design, higher durability and improved payload capacity for e-rickshaws, e-autos and e-cargo vehicles. In addition, Servotech introduced Voltie, a 2 kW on-grid solar inverter for residential and small commercial applications, reinforcing its commitment to integrated renewable energy and clean mobility solutions.

Waaree Energy Storage Raises Rs 1,003 Crore for Large-Scale Battery Manufacturing

Waaree Energy Storage Solutions has raised around Rs 1,003 crore to fund the development of a 20 GWh lithium-ion cell and battery pack manufacturing facility in India, marking a major step in strengthening domestic energy storage capabilities. The investment will support advanced battery technology, localisation of cell manufacturing and scale-up of battery pack production to meet rising demand from electric mobility, renewable energy integration and grid-scale storage. The project aligns with India’s clean energy and self-reliance goals by reducing dependence on imported battery cells and supporting the expansion of electric vehicles and renewable power. With this funding, Waaree aims to build a robust manufacturing ecosystem, enhance innovation, and position itself as a key player in India’s rapidly growing energy storage market.
