SolarEdge Introduces BABA-Compliant Inverter Solutions
SolarEdge has announced that its solar inverter portfolio now complies with the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act. This compliance allows participation in federal infrastructure projects. The portfolio includes 480V and 208V three-phase inverters, power optimizers, and home hub inverters. The company will manufacture these products in Florida and Texas.

SMT Energy has secured $135 million for a 320 MWH battery storage facility in Houston, Texas. The project will support the ERCOT grid by storing and dispatching electricity. Macquarie and KeyBanc Capital Markets led the financing, and FlexGen will provide equipment and energy management software.
GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker Verified for 2kV Solar Projects
GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker racking system has been verified for 2,000V operation by Intertek. The system was successfully installed with 5 MW of 2kV modules in the Southeastern U.S. The transition to 2kV technology will improve efficiency and lower costs for utility-scale solar projects.
Cypress Creek and Meta Sign 396MW Solar Energy Agreement in Texas
Cypress Creek Renewables and Meta have signed an agreement for a 505MW solar project in Texas. The Hanson Solar project will provide power to the ERCOT grid and support Meta’s clean energy goals. Construction will begin later this year, with operations starting in 2027. The project will generate local tax revenue and create jobs.
Fabral Launches Fabral Solar for Solar Energy Expansion
FGM-Fabral (Fabral) has launched Fabral Solar to meet the demand for steel racking for solar panels. The new division supports commercial, residential, and agricultural solar projects. Industry leaders John Cummings and Larkin Canington lead the initiative. Fabral Solar will provide mounting solutions, work with EPC contractors, and offer assembled kits. Acquired by Flack Global Metals in 2023, Fabral continues to expand in metal construction and renewable energy.
