On December 18th, 2023, the NTPC Group achieved a historic milestone by generating a staggering 300 Billion Units (BU) in the ongoing fiscal year 2023-24.
This remarkable feat was accomplished in a mere 262 days, outpacing the previous financial year by a notable 18 days. In the preceding fiscal year 2022-23, the company had surpassed the 300 BU mark on January 5th, 2023. On a standalone basis, NTPC stations contributed 256 BU generation in FY 2023-24.
This impressive achievement stands as a testament to NTPC’s unwavering dedication to providing the nation with dependable and cost-effective power.
Despite boasting an installed capacity of approximately 74 GW, NTPC is actively constructing over 18 GW of additional capacity, including a substantial 5 GW in Renewables. Firmly committed to attaining 60 GW of Renewable Energy capacity by 2032, the company continues to make strides towards a greener and more sustainable energy future.
In addition to its prowess in power generation, NTPC has diversified its interests into several burgeoning sectors, delving into e-mobility, Waste-to-Energy initiatives, Green Hydrogen solutions, and actively participating in the bidding for power distribution across Union Territories.
