Greentech Lead Europe: Xylem, a water technology company
focused on addressing water issues, has opened its new distribution and customer
service base in Moscow, Russia.
The new facility will focus on boosting sales and
distribution, enhancing relationships with Russian customers. The new center is
expected to create the capability to deliver local customer service,
after-sales support, application engineering and training.
Xylem has been doing business in Russia since 2005 through two local distributors for
its Lowara, Vogel, Leopold, Flygt, WEDECO, Godwin and Sanitaire brands. The new
base, led by Oleg Fedorov, will help drive faster delivery of Xylem products
and enhance local customers’ experience.
“This new base in Moscow enables Xylem to offer
wastewater and clean water pumping products and systems to the Russian market.
The channels to our customers are becoming considerably shorter, and we can now
personally accompany our customers on-site throughout the development of
projects, offering applications solutions and systems expertise,” said Andre Dhawan,
vice president and general manager of Xylem’s Residential and Commercial Water
business in Europe.
The new team in Moscow will concentrate on wastewater
transport and treatment, energy-efficient heating, ventilation and air
conditioning (HVAC) and related solutions for residential and commercial
buildings, and water solutions for light industry, agriculture and irrigation.
“Only Xylem can now offer a wide range of treatment and
transport solutions through an integrated set of leading global brands. The
establishment of the Russian subsidiary is an important event for both our
company and the marketplace, and underscores our commitment to growing Xylem’s
presence in emerging markets,” Dhawan added.
Recently, Xylem showcased its portfolio of highly engineered
measurement and analytics solutions, including innovative new products, at
Pittcon 2012.
