By Greentech Lead Team: Waste Management (WM), a provider
of waste management services in North America, has acquired Reliable
Environmental Transport (RET), a provider of services to the natural gas
exploration and production industry.

collection, transfer, recycling and resource recovery, and disposal services.

RET services all aspects of the exploration, midstream
and downstream gas markets providing traditional non-hazardous and Department
of Transportation hazardous transportation services, heavy industrial vacuum
capabilities, pad services and emergency response.

“RET is a great strategic fit with Waste Management
and provides us a leading edge in servicing the needs of our customers. We are
pleased that we were able to retain the leadership and staff of RET who will
bring a wealth of talent and experience to the WM team,” said Dave
Balbierz, area vice president of WM’s Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania
and West Virginia market area.

Jonathan Marks, previously the president of RET, will
join WM as director of gas and hazardous waste services for WM’s Upstate New
York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia market.

“The addition of Jonathan and his team also provides
additional knowledge and expertise to Waste Management’s national service
offering to our oil and gas customers,” said Josh Kaylor, director, WM
Oilfield Solutions.

WM offers single-source environmental management services
to oil and natural gas producers that includes transportation, storage,
recycling, treatment and disposal processes.
