The Renewable Infrastructure Group buys two onshore UK wind farms

The Renewable Infrastructure Group(TRIG) has bought two onshore UK wind farms with a 22MW combined power generating capacity for GBP 19.1 million.

The group acquired Tallentire Wind Farm in Cumbria and the MeikleCarewe Wind Farm in Scotland from Renewable Energy Systems. The deal was negotiated on a right of first offer deal basis upon the assets.

Renewable Infrastructure Group has at present 24 projects in its portfolio since its initial public offering in July 2013. The total generating capacity of projects is now over 340 MW.

TRIG is tapping all possible opportunities for expanding portfolio in solar PV and onshore wind to diversify the company further. Recently, TRIG shares were down by 0.2 percent at 105.75 pence.
