UBM India flagged off the 8th edition of the Renewable Energy India Exhibition and Conference 2014.
The Expo will be held from 3-5 September, at the Indian Exposition Mart, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida (NCR of Delhi).
REI aims to promote growth of the Indian Renewable Energy sector by offering sustainable development opportunities to businesses in this industry.
Considered as Asia’s most influential event in the renewable energy sector, the 8th edition is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors, 12,000 trade visitors and 1000 conference delegates from more than 35 countries.
The highlight of the display this year is the ‘Start-up’ Pavilion, to promote budding entrepreneurs to build a business portfolio within a limited budget.
Besides, multiple conference sessions will be held deliberating upon the challenges and solutions that exist in the Renewable Energy sector.
The CEO Conclave, Firestarter session by Bloomberg, Smart Grid sessions, Bio-energy session by VTT Finland is other best bits of the conference and workshop.
The Planning Commission of India is also hosting a session ‘India Energy Security Scenario 2047’.
Renewable Energy India Expo 2014 is supported by associations like National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), Solar Energy Association of Gujarat (SEAG), Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP), India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF), UK Trade and Investment, and Bloomberg New Energy Finance as Strategic partner.
A delegation of 16 Canadian companies is reaching India this week to attend the Expo. They offer expertise in solar power, hydrogen fuel cells, small wind, hydro and waste to energy segments.
