India, U.S to cooperate on renewable energy resources and green technologies

Greentech Lead India: The Minister of New and Renewable
Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said India is holding talks with the U.S to promote
renewable energy and related technologies in continuation with the India-US
Energy Dialogue launched 31st May 2005.

The program was launched to promote increased trade and
investment in the energy sector, through identification of further areas of
co-operation and collaboration, while actively working with both the public and
private sector.

The meeting of the Working Group on New Technologies & Renewable Energy was
held during 26, September, 2012 in Washington DC. 

The Working Group Meeting discussed amongst other issues, matter related to
enhancement of generation of energy from renewable and low carbon resources,
possibilities of large scale cooperation in integration of renewable with the
grid, storage technologies and financing Clean Energy technologies.
