The D2 LED Lighting and Design firm from Australia has recently executed a large-scale LED retrofit project throughout 11 sites in metro and regional Victoria.
The retrofit work was undertaken for CitiPower/Powercor and 11 sites were entirely upgraded with energy saving D2 LED lights.
The project is expected to reduce over $3 million in energy cost savings, along with overall lighting energy consumption by over 60 percent.
Besides, the installations were completed in 3 months with a full turnkey solution.
The lighting used in the project was installed to full Australian AS1158 and AS1680 compliance standards.
D2 LED Lighting and Design provided different services including lighting audits, lighting design, lighting installation and maintenance for this project.
It is expected that, the D2 LED Lighting and Design’s project will provide various benefits to CitiPower/Powercor.
Moreover, the 11 sites will increase security at the locations and automate the outdoor lighting process.
D2 LED was used to generate the Carbon Certificates under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme that provided CitiPower/Powercor with a cash incentive, reducing the cost of upgrading to LED lighting.
