A2Z Dataserv plans to expand capacity to 1 lakh tons in two years

Greentech Lead India: A2Z Dataserv, an electronic waste
recycling firm, is planning to expand plant capacity to 1 lakh tons in two
years from initial capacity of 10,000 tons.

“We are starting with 10,000 tonnes capacity per annum
plant with initial investment of Rs 20 crore. After two years of business we
will look at capacity to process 100,000 tonnes per annum and investment will
also be in same tune,” said A2Z Dataserv Managing Director Amit Sardana.

The company has raised 60 percent as debt from ICICI Bank
for this venture and will evaluate need for infusing second round of fund after
six months.

A2Z e-Waste management recently announced its joint
venture with the U.K.-based e-waste management firm Dataserv to set up plant in
e-waste recycling facility in Gurgaon, with an initial investment of Rs 20
crore. The plant will have a capacity to handle e-waste up to 10,000 tonnes per
annum. Its Gurgaon plant will start operations in April.

According to media reports, A2Z has 80 per cent stake in
the JV and this new firm will look for business in India and the Middle East.

The company has started the process to set up a plant in
Dubai as well which will be 100 percent owned by A2Z Dataserv. Simultaneously,
the company is working to set up 5 more plants in India.
