Swift Current Energy Secures $750 Million Credit Facility, Can Expand Funding to $1 Billion

Swift Current Energy has closed a $750 million corporate credit facility, with an accordion feature allowing another $250 million, potentially increasing total capacity to $1 billion. The dual-tranche facility has a three-year term and provides cash and letter-of-credit capacity for utility-scale solar, wind and battery-storage development across the United States. Swift Current has commercialized 5 GW of clean-energy projects since its founding in 2016, owns and operates more than 1 GW, and has a development pipeline exceeding 10 GW. Crédit Agricole CIB supported the financing alongside other lenders including ING and Truist. Crédit Agricole previously financed Swift Current’s 122 MWdc Three Rivers Solar project in Maine. The company is majority-owned by IFM Investors and Lookout Ridge Energy Partners.

Apollo Atomics Raises $31 Million for 10 MW, 50 MW and 300 MW Factory-Built Nuclear Reactors

MIT spinout Apollo Atomics has raised an oversubscribed $31 million Seed round led by FCVC, with Y Combinator, Telesoft Partners, Alumni Ventures, Robinhood Ventures, Nucleation Capital, Pelion VC and Duke Capital Partners participating. Founded by Assil Halimi and Drew Walker, Apollo is developing compact pressurized-water reactors that could have roughly 40 times smaller footprints than conventional designs and be deployed in under 24 months. Its portfolio includes the 10 MW A-10, 50 MW A-50 and 300 MW A-300 reactors, targeting data centers, industrial sites and utilities. Apollo reports more than 20 GW of signed letters of intent. Funding will build a 1 MW A-1 demonstrator, expand manufacturing and reliability testing, and support NRC regulatory work.

PowerBank Advances C$14 Million, 6.86 MW Nova Scotia Community Solar Project

PowerBank has completed environmental permitting for its 6.86 MW Brooklyn community solar project in Nova Scotia, clearing the development for construction expected to start in fall 2026. Total development and construction cost is estimated at C$14 million. The project is eligible for up to C$2.639 million through Canada’s Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit and has secured two grants of C$960,000 each, bringing identified grants and tax credits to about C$4.55 million. Brooklyn is expected to power the equivalent of 628 homes annually and deliver around C$3.86 million in lifetime electricity savings. It forms part of three PowerBank-developed Nova Scotia projects totaling approximately 12.44 MW DC. PowerBank has completed more than 100 MW and has a pipeline exceeding 1 GW.
