GES Wins €225 Million Solar EPC Contracts Covering 583 MWp in Spain

Spanish renewable-energy contractor Global Energy Services (GES) has secured four engineering, procurement and construction contracts worth €225 million. The agreements cover 583.41 MWp of solar photovoltaic capacity across 12 projects in Aragón and the Valencia region. One contract includes two solar plants totalling 93.52 MWp in Zaragoza, scheduled for operation during the second half of 2027. Another covers a 132.92 MWp project designed for potential future battery storage integration. The remaining contracts involve nine solar farms with combined capacity of 356.97 MWp. Three contracts were awarded by new customers. GES expects Spanish revenue to exceed €200 million in 2026, approximately double its previous annual level.

Solarise Africa Secures €1 Million Grant for 3 MW Renewable Energy Expansion in Uganda and Zambia

Kenya-based Solarise Africa has secured a €1 million grant from the Energy and Environment Partnership Trust Fund to expand its renewable-energy leasing business into Uganda and Zambia. Solarise will contribute another €1 million, creating a €2 million programme covering 24 months. The initiative targets deployment of 3 MW of decentralised renewable-energy capacity for commercial and industrial customers and social institutions. Planned technologies include rooftop and ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage and selected heat pump applications. The installations are expected to generate at least 4.5 GWh of renewable electricity and avoid approximately 3,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Solarise provides financing, engineering, maintenance and energy management services.

DEME Wins Contract to Install 69 Offshore Wind Turbines at 1 GW Zeevonk Project

Belgian marine engineering company DEME has secured a contract to transport and install 69 offshore wind turbines at the 1 GW Zeevonk offshore wind project in the Netherlands. The project is jointly owned by Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners through an infrastructure investment vehicle. DEME will use its next-generation offshore installation vessel Norse Energi for turbine installation. The latest contract follows an earlier award in July 2026 covering transportation and installation of 69 monopile foundations and related offshore works. Zeevonk is being developed in phases, with the first phase providing approximately 1 GW of installed capacity. The new agreement expands DEME’s construction responsibilities. Financial consideration and the detailed offshore installation timetable were not disclosed.
