SemaConnect has developed a new app for Google Glass that helps drivers locate nearby EV charging stations using the built-in navigation features.
With the help of this app, the user can leverage SemaConnect’s database of thousands of charging stations that helps drivers to find the nearest one.
The app displays a list of nearby charging stations and help users to check its location in map. It also streamlines the process of finding out a place to charge the car according to the driver’s needs.
Moreover, he can begin the charging session by executing standard Glass voice commands.
The user has to sign up for a free account with the SemaConnect Network, which displays its own ChargePro group of charging stations, located in prime cities, in shopping centers and real estate sites.
Meanwhile, there have been several concerns with the use of Google Glass. Reports say the future of driving with Glass remains unclear and hence it is better to exercise some restraints for using this app while driving.
For an electric car owner who is driving through an unknown area, this app will be very useful to charge his vehicle.
SemaConnect for Glass will be available for download through the MyGlass app after it gets through the review in the Apple and Android stores.
