ForeFront Completes 7.7 MW Solar and Battery Project With $21 Million Savings
ForeFront Power and Ventura County have completed a 7.7 MW solar-plus-storage project at the Ventura County Government Center in California. The development combines a 5.8 MW solar parking-canopy system with 1.9 MW of battery storage across six parking areas. The county expects the project to offset approximately 53 percent of the Government Center’s electricity consumption and deliver more than $21 million in lifetime energy savings. The installation is described as one of California’s largest solar canopy-plus-storage developments. By combining photovoltaic generation and batteries at a major public facility, the project can reduce peak-grid consumption and shift solar electricity into higher-value periods. ForeFront focuses on commercial and industrial solar and storage infrastructure, making Ventura a significant public-sector deployment for its portfolio.
Radiance Renewables Wins Green Power PPA With TTK Healthcare in India
Eversource Capital-backed Radiance Renewables has been selected to supply renewable electricity to TTK Healthcare under a corporate power purchase agreement in India. The arrangement expands clean-energy procurement by the healthcare company while giving Radiance another long-term commercial and industrial offtake customer. Radiance develops renewable projects for corporate consumers seeking lower electricity costs and reduced carbon exposure without investing directly in generation infrastructure. Although project capacity and PPA value were not disclosed, the transaction is significant because India’s corporate renewable market is increasingly supporting new solar, wind and hybrid capacity through long-term contracted demand. TTK Healthcare operates across pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer healthcare, making the agreement another example of renewable procurement expanding beyond traditional energy-intensive industrial customers into healthcare manufacturing and operations.
EU Clears Blackstone’s Up to €2 Billion Investment in 1.6 GW Eurowind Energy
The European Commission has approved Blackstone Infrastructure’s planned investment of up to €2 billion, approximately $2.33 billion, in Denmark-based Eurowind Energy. The transaction gives Blackstone an initial minority stake and provides capital to accelerate wind, solar, battery-storage and biogas development across Europe. Eurowind operates across 16 European markets, has approximately 700 employees, and owns about 1.6 GW of renewable capacity. CEO Jens Rasmussen has said the new capital could allow Eurowind to install three to four times more solar, wind and battery capacity than its current development pace. Blackstone has investments representing around $400 billion of assets in Europe and sees potential to invest more than $500 billion in European assets by 2035. EU approval clears a key regulatory condition for closing.
Metlen Advances 532 MW / 1.323 GWh Battery Portfolio Across UK, Italy and Greece Metlen Energy & Metals has reached new milestones across battery projects totaling 532 MW and 1,323 MWh in the UK, Italy and Greece. In Britain, Metlen has signed a balance-of-plant contract with Pulse Clean Energy for the 129 MW / 362 MWh Penn BESS in the West Midlands, its largest UK storage project by energy capacity. Pulse currently has approximately 400 MWh operating and another 400 MWh under construction, with a target of 2 GWh by 2030. Metlen is also progressing battery infrastructure in Italy and Greece through its M RESET platform. The wider 1.323 GWh portfolio strengthens the company’s position in grid-scale storage as European power systems require additional flexibility to integrate rising solar and wind output.
