Vestas has secured a 270 MW order for a U.S. wind project featuring 60 V163-4.5 MW turbines developed by Steelhead Americas, its North American arm.

The order includes turbine supply, delivery, commissioning, and a multi-year AOM 5000 service agreement to optimize asset performance.

Laura Beane, President of Vestas North America, highlighted the project’s role in bolstering energy independence and local opportunities.

Steelhead Americas managed permitting, land acquisition, and construction design, emphasizing economic growth and local benefits, according to Chris Rogers, Steelhead Americas’ President.

Steelhead has developed nearly 4 GW of renewable projects and has over 5 GW in its pipeline. Turbine delivery is scheduled for Q1 2026.
