Jacobs to provide engineering services to Terra Solar Philippines
Jacobs, a provider of engineering services, has been selected by Terra Solar Philippines, a subsidiary of SP New Energy Corporation (SPNEC), to deliver engineering services, technical advice, and construction phase services for a 3,500-megawatt solar panel and 4,500-megawatt battery energy storage system (BESS).
Jacobs will use digital construction management tools and drone technology to manage field tasks, site inspections, and track progress on the 11.5 square mile (3,000 hectare) site, located 93 miles (150 kilometers) north of Manila. Jacobs will also oversee supply chain and equipment delivery logistics, ensuring the manufacture, inspection, shipping, and installation of solar panels.
Green & Clean Power raises $300Mn to build solar facility in Arkansas
Green & Clean Power (GCP), a provider of renewable energy, announced it has raised about USD 300 million in debt and equity financing to build and operate a solar energy generation and battery storage facility on nearly 500 acres in Osceola, Arkansas.
GCP will supply renewable energy to its sister company, Hybar, a steel rebar mill starting operations in summer 2025. Investors in GCP and Hybar include TPG Rise Climate, Quanta Services, and Global Principal Partners. The solar and battery storage systems are being built by DEPCOM Power under an EPC agreement.
Longroad Energy completes financial close of Sun Pond project
Longroad Energy, a provider of renewable energy, has announced the financial close of Sun Pond, its 111 MWdc solar and 85 MWac / 340 MWh storage project in Maricopa County, Arizona.
The Sun Pond project’s output will be purchased by the City of San Jose, California, and Ava Community Energy via long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). The project will generate enough electricity to power about 35,000 average American homes
