US-based crystalline silicon solar manufacturer SolarWorld has signed an agreement with Panasonic Enterprise Solutions (PES) to supply solar panels totaling capacity of 65 megawatts for deployment at a solar park in southeast Oregon.

SolarWorld has annual production capacity reaching more than 1 gigawatt and will supply its 72-cell panels for the proposed park.

According to a statement, the supply contract is to be fulfilled in 2016 and “encompasses the largest single project supply in the history of the company”.

SolarWorld and Panasonic arrived at the terms of the agreement during Solar Power International, the largest annual solar-industry trade show in California.

Under the terms of the deal, PES will construct, own and operate the facility located in a Malheur County Rural Renewable Energy Development Zone.
