Azure Power has commissioned a 30-megawatt solar power project in Durg, Chattisgarh.
The independent power producer had won contract for the project under the Chhasttisgarh Solar Policy 2012-2017. The output from the project will be supplied to Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL), for 25 years.
According to a statement, the project spread over 150 acres was completed in three phases of 10 megawatts each. The first phase was completed in June and remaining 20 MW was commissioned in the consecutive months.
Recently, Azure had commissioned a 100-MW solar power project in Rajasthan under the National Solar Mission.
It made Azure the single largest owner and operator of projects under the NSM with a cumulative operational capacity of 142 MW.
