Vestas Wind Systems announced a robust Q4 order intake today, securing 273 MW of wind turbine contracts across seven projects in Germany. All deals feature the company’s V150, V162, and V172 turbine models, paired with long-term service agreements to ensure operational reliability.
The orders highlight Germany’s ongoing push toward renewable energy targets, with deliveries kicking off as early as Q1 2027. Vestas emphasized the projects’ role in expanding onshore wind capacity in the EMEA region.
Key projects include:
Key projects in Vestas’ Q4 order intake include the Presen-Burgstaaken wind farm, a 43 MW order from Windkraft Presen-Burgstaaken GmbH & Co. KG. It features seven V162-6.2 MW turbines supported by a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement, with delivery starting in Q1 2027 and commissioning in Q2 2027.
The Oldenbroker Feld Niederort project totals 49 MW from Projekt Projektierungsgesellschaft für regenerative Energiesysteme mbH. It includes six V162-7.2 MW turbines and one V150-5.6 MW turbine, backed by a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement on the same Q1/Q2 2027 timeline.
iterror energy GmbH secured two projects: Frielendorf-Waltersberg at 48 MW with eight V150-6.0 MW turbines, and Frielendorf-Dorheim at 24 MW with four V150-6.0 MW turbines. Both carry 25-year AOM 4000 service agreements, with Waltersberg deliveries in Q2 2027 and commissioning in Q3 2027, while Dorheim begins in Q1 2027.
JUWI GmbH ordered the 38 MW Arneburg Sanne project, deploying five V162-6.2 MW turbines and one V162-7.2 MW turbine under a 25-year AOM 4000 service agreement. Delivery is set for Q2 2027, with commissioning in Q3 2027. JUWI also placed a 25 MW order for Reichenbach-Steegen, featuring four V162-6.2 MW turbines with a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement on a Q1/Q2 2027 schedule.
Finally, an undisclosed customer ordered the 46 MW Günstedt 2 project. It mixes three V172-7.2 MW turbines, three V162-6.2 MW turbines, and one V150-6.0 MW turbine, covered by a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement. Delivery begins in Q2 2027, with commissioning in Q4 2027.
These contracts underscore Vestas’ stronghold in the German market, where high-capacity turbines like the V162 and V172 optimize energy yield in varied terrains. Long-term AOM service agreements — ranging from 20 to 25 years — promise minimized downtime and sustained performance.
