Breaking News: Vestas Secures Major Wind Turbine Order for Drzezewo I-IV Wind Park in Poland

In a significant development for the renewable energy sector, Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has received a firm order from Eviva Drzezewo., a part of PAK-POLSKA CZYSTA ENERGIA and ZE PAK, for the Drzezewo I-IV wind park in Poland.

The comprehensive order encompasses a total of 63 wind turbines, including 23 V110-2.0 MW and 40 V100-2.0 MW turbines, all to be operated in the efficient 2.2 MW mode. Vestas will be responsible for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, underlining their commitment to providing end-to-end sustainable energy solutions. Upon completion, Vestas will also service the turbines under a long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the assets.

Michal Laskowski, Senior Sales Director for Poland and Baltics at Vestas, expressed enthusiasm about being a vital part of the upcoming Drzeżewo I-IV project, highlighting its scale as one of the largest onshore projects in Poland. He also extended gratitude to PAK-POLSKA CZYSTA ENERGIA for their continued trust and collaboration.

Andrzej Janiszowski, Chief Strategy Officer for ZE PAK, echoed the sentiment of excitement and collaboration, emphasizing Vestas’ pioneering role in the industry. This partnership is seen as a significant milestone in their journey toward sustainable energy solutions and a greener future.

The Drzezewo I-IV wind park is situated in Pomorskie Voivodship, approximately 30km from Słupsk. Turbine delivery is slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning expected to conclude in the fourth quarter of 2025. This ambitious initiative underscores Poland’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy capacity and fostering a more sustainable energy landscape.
