The project is sited at Drakenstein municipality in the Western Cape about 100km northwest of Cape Town.
It is comprised of 46 AW100/3000 3MW turbines mounted on 100-meter-tall concrete towers.
According to a statement, Acciona Energía owns 51 percent stake in the project. The other partners in the consortium are South African infrastructure firm Aveng (29 percent), Soul City Broad-Based Empowerment Company and community development entity Local Community Trust (both with a 10 percent stake).
