Renewable America Launches WEST-II Solar Project
Renewable America started operations for its West Tambo Clean Power II (WEST-II) project in Livingston, California. The 2.93 MW solar facility provides energy to San Jose, offsetting 48,000 tons of CO2. WEST-II uses local union labor, expands solar access for underrepresented communities, and qualifies for a 20 percent Investment Tax Credit under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program.
Solstice Introduces Community Benefit REC Program
Solstice has launched a Community Benefit REC program, allowing corporate buyers to support community solar, workforce development, and utility bill assistance. Microsoft is a key participant. Beneficiaries include Boston Medical Center, the Boston Community Solar Cooperative, and Community Work Services.
Roeslein Renewables Achieves Certification for RNG Production
Roeslein Renewables received ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU certifications for biomass feedstocks used in RNG production. This is the first ISCC certification for biomass-based crop residues, including cover crops, processed for RNG. The certification expands market access for U.S.-produced RNG. The company, with USDA support, leads an $80 million pilot project in Iowa and Missouri to integrate biofertilizer production and ecosystem services into agriculture
Avaada Electro Expands in U.S. Solar Market at Intersolar 2025
Avaada Electro, part of Avaada Group, presented its TOPCon solar modules at Intersolar and Energy Storage North America 2025. It operates facilities in India, with an integrated production line in Nagpur producing modules in 16 seconds per unit. Its TOPCon modules, including the Enlume and Integlow series, are built for the U.S. market with features for various conditions. Avaada plans to start solar cell production in October 2025 to support North America’s energy transition.
LandBridge Future Plans
LandBridge Company delivered financial results for Q4 and fiscal year 2024, with a 109 percent increase in quarterly revenue and a 51 percent rise in annual revenue. The company’s adjusted EBITDA reached $97.1 million for the year, reflecting strong profitability and efficient operations.
A major achievement in 2024 was the expansion of LandBridge’s land holdings by 53,000 acres, including the Wolf Bone Ranch acquisition, which secured a $25 million annual revenue commitment for five years. The company also increased surface use efficiency by 41 percent, enhancing revenue from energy infrastructure projects.
Innovation played a key role in LandBridge’s success. The company entered agreements for produced water handling with Western Midstream Partners and advanced renewable energy projects by partnering with DESRI for solar developments on 6,700 acres. These initiatives support sustainability while creating new revenue streams.
