Investcorp’s Sustainability Report 2025

Investcorp’s Sustainability Report 2025

Investcorp’s Sustainability Report 2025 highlights measurable progress in emissions reduction, alongside a disciplined strategy that integrates environmental, social, and governance principles across its investment platform. The firm is advancing toward its long-term net-zero ambition while strengthening its approach to sustainable capital allocation and value creation.

A key highlight is the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Investcorp has achieved a 37 percent decline in total emissions compared with its FY2019 baseline, driven primarily by a 40 percent reduction in Scope 1 emissions. Year-on-year performance also reflects steady improvement, with emissions falling by 8 percent in the most recent reporting period. Despite this progress, the firm indicates that approximately 10 percent of the targeted reduction still needs to be delivered to meet its 2030 goals.

Energy efficiency initiatives and operational improvements continue to play a central role in achieving these targets. Preliminary data for FY2025 suggests a continued downward trend in energy consumption across Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories, reinforcing the effectiveness of ongoing sustainability measures.

“Our progress is tangible: a 37 percent reduction in operational emissions since our baseline, 32 percent of our corporate energy now from renewable or low-carbon sources, strong results in our latest PRI assessment, and continued recognition for sustainability leadership – all while our firm has grown to surpass $60 billion in assets under management,” Mohammed Alardhi, Executive Chairman of Investcorp, said.

“While there are always improvements to be made, these results affirm our ongoing efforts to embed sustainability into our investment processes,” Dom Coyle, Vice President, Sustainability, Investcorp, said.

Investcorp’s sustainability achievements extend beyond environmental metrics. The organization operates with a global workforce of more than 480 employees across 14 offices, embedding ESG practices into its corporate culture and governance framework. On the social front, the company has supported over 180 students worldwide through its education initiatives, reflecting a broader commitment to community development.

Sustainability is deeply embedded in Investcorp’s investment lifecycle. ESG considerations are integrated at every stage, from pre-investment due diligence to post-investment management and eventual exit. This approach enables the firm to identify risks early, unlock opportunities for operational improvement, and enhance long-term asset value. The strategy spans private equity, real assets, infrastructure, and credit investments, ensuring a diversified yet sustainability-aligned portfolio.

The firm’s broader sustainability strategy focuses on enhancing resilience to climate and ESG-related risks, improving data-driven decision-making, and increasing transparency in disclosures. Investcorp is also expanding its capabilities in measuring and managing financed emissions, recognizing Scope 3 as a critical area for future progress.

With a clear roadmap toward net-zero by 2050 and defined interim targets for 2030, Investcorp is positioning sustainability as a core driver of growth. Its combination of emissions reduction, structured ESG integration, and strategic investment focus underscores a transition from commitment to execution, with increasing emphasis on long-term impact and accountability.
