Waaree Solar starts trial production of solar modules at Texas

Waaree Solar Americas, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has begun trial production of solar modules at its new manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas.

This makes Waaree the first Indian company to establish a solar PV module manufacturing plant in the U.S., showcasing its commitment to expanding its international footprint and supporting the global clean energy transition.

DC Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston, highlighted the strengthening India-U.S. economic and energy partnership. The facility’s Phase-1 production capacity of 1.6 GW will be fully operational in the coming months.

Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, emphasized the company’s dedication to advancing renewable energy, building a resilient domestic supply chain, and bolstering U.S. energy security while fostering trade and energy ties between India and the U.S.
