ReneSola to supply 10MW modules for utility project in India

ReneSola has announced that it will provide 10 MW of solar modules to Juwi India Renewable Energies.

The modules will power a utility-scale project in Rajasthan, India to be developed by Atha Group, a corporation operating in mining as well as renewable energy.

Acoording to the agreement, in coming months ReneSola will deliver 10MW of its Virtus modules manufactured at OEM facilities in India, in accordance with the domestic content requirements (DCR) that demand incorporation of locally manufactured components.

India is a strong performer and this is the second major contract that has been won recently by the company, said, Xianshou Li, CEO, ReneSola.

With the increasing demand for DCR modules in the India market, the network of OEM manufacturing and on-the-ground teams effort maximum to satisfy domestic content requirements while responding to market needs in real time, added Li.

In a recent initiative, ReneSola has announced it will provide 5.4 MW in solar modules to Welspun Energy a New Delhi-based EPC firm, for a utility-scale project in India.

ReneSola will provide 240W and 245W series of its Virtus II PV modules this month, under the terms of the agreement.

These PV modules were manufactured at the OEM facilities of Company in India, meeting the domestic content requirements (DCR), which demand for solar projects to incorporate local components.
