JA Solar has been ranked No. 1 worldwide in the Wood Mackenzie Global Solar Module Manufacturer Ranking for the first half of 2025, achieving the highest overall score of 91.7 among all evaluated companies.
The ranking, released by global energy research and consultancy firm Wood Mackenzie, assessed 38 crystalline silicon PV module manufacturers that together account for the majority of global manufacturing capacity and shipments.
The evaluation was conducted from a customer-centric perspective across ten key dimensions, including manufacturing experience, vertical integration, capacity utilization, technology maturity, R&D investment, financial strength, supply chain resilience, ESG and corporate social responsibility performance, and third-party certification.
JA Solar delivered strong and consistent performance across all criteria, reflecting disciplined operations, a mature technology platform, and proven reliability. The top ranking reinforces the company’s bankability and its ability to meet the expectations of developers, financial institutions, and partners globally.
Earlier in 2025, Wood Mackenzie’s ranking based on 2024 data had placed JA Solar second worldwide, highlighting its steady progress. The latest result underscores further advances in technology development, operational execution, and market responsiveness.
