GameChange Solar (GCS), a supplier specializing in solar tracking solutions for photovoltaic (PV) plants, has opened its new factory, training, service, and technical support center exclusively dedicated to its Genius Tracker solar trackers.
The facility is strategically located in Feira de Santana, Bahia, Brazil, showcasing GameChange Solar’s commitment to fostering the growth of the Brazilian solar economy.
The Brazil factory commenced operations in November 2023 and boasts a production capacity of 2.5 GW for solar trackers, with the flexibility to expand to accommodate growing demand. Beyond catering to the local market, the Brazilian facility positions itself to supply Genius Tracker units to neighboring Latin American countries, reinforcing GameChange Solar’s regional presence.
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has granted FINAME certification for GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker trackers, underscoring compliance with Brazil’s stringent domestic content and manufacturing process standards. This certification assures industry customers of the trackers’ adherence to the country’s regulatory requirements.

Recent forecasts by Absolar, Brazil’s solar energy association, indicate that new investments in Brazil’s solar PV industry could surpass BRL 38.9 billion ($7.8 billion) in 2024. Developers are expected to install over 9.3 GW of solar capacity this year, emphasizing the robust growth trajectory of Brazil’s solar sector. GameChange Solar’s investment in a dedicated facility positions the company strategically to contribute significantly to this flourishing industry.
