Enfinity Global has strengthened its position in Italy’s renewable energy market by reaching 535 MW of operational solar capacity in three years.
Enfinity’s Solar Portfolio Powers 350,000 Italian Households
Enfinity Global currently operates 18 solar photovoltaic (PV) plants across the Italian regions of Lazio and Emilia-Romagna. These facilities are expected to generate nearly 1 TWh of renewable electricity annually, supplying enough clean energy to meet the yearly electricity needs of approximately 350,000 households.
Enfinity Global said the solar power projects are projected to prevent the emission of 290,904 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂e) every year, supporting Italy’s climate objectives while reducing dependence on conventional power generation.
Italy Solar Expansion Supports Energy Security
Alessandro Ceschiat, General Manager for Italy at Enfinity Global, said reaching 535 MW of operational capacity demonstrates the company’s ability to deliver energy infrastructure that strengthens Italy’s electricity system while generating economic value, employment opportunities, and local development.
The company emphasized that every new megawatt entering commercial operation contributes to improving Italy’s energy security, enhancing industrial competitiveness, and advancing national decarbonization goals.
Maria Diez, General Manager for Operations in Europe at Enfinity Global, credited the achievement to the company’s teams across Italy and Europe, together with industrial, financial, and institutional partners that have supported the rapid execution of renewable energy projects.
Enfinity Surpasses 1 GW of Authorized Solar Capacity in Italy
According to Elemens data, Enfinity Global has become the second-largest operator in Italy by authorized solar capacity, surpassing the 1 GW milestone. The company is also expanding into energy storage, with approximately 600 MW of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects already authorized.
These projects form part of Enfinity Global’s broader 9.1 GW renewable energy development pipeline in Italy.
Global Renewable Energy Portfolio Reaches 39.6 GW
Beyond Italy, Enfinity Global continues to expand its international clean energy business. The company owns a 39.6 GW portfolio of renewable energy generation and energy storage projects worldwide.
Its global portfolio includes 1.2 GW of operational renewable assets, 1.6 GW currently under construction, and an extensive pipeline of development projects across several key international markets.
