Arevon Energy breaks ground on 251 MW Gibson solar project in Indiana

Nextracker for solar PV modules

Arevon Energy, a renewable energy developer, has initiated construction on the 251 megawatt (MWdc) Gibson Solar Project in Gibson County, Indiana.

The project, representing a $250 million investment, promises benefits for the local community, including the creation of over 250 full-time construction jobs and more than $83 million in local government payments over its lifespan. These funds will support schools, first responders, and other essential local services, while also providing consistent income to local landowners.

Gibson Solar Project will supply renewable energy to over 30,000 Indiana homes annually.

Signal Energy is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor. Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) will own and operate the project post-construction.
