Siemens Energy has launched an independent corporate brand, marking a significant milestone in its evolution following its spin-off from Siemens AG in 2020. The company will gradually transition to a new global identity, Omterra, replacing the Siemens Energy brand as the existing time-limited licensing agreement for the Siemens name approaches its end.

The rebranding initiative will bring Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy together under a single brand and corporate identity. The phased rollout of the Omterra brand is scheduled to begin later this calendar year, with implementation taking place in stages across global markets.

Christian Bruch, CEO of Siemens Energy, said the transition reflects the company’s transformation into a stronger and more independent business. Since separating from Siemens AG in 2020, the company has strengthened its strategic position, improved operational performance, enhanced profitability, earned greater confidence from customers and capital markets, and established ambitious long-term growth plans.

The new Omterra brand has been selected to provide a distinctive global identity while reflecting the company’s worldwide presence, engineering expertise, and commitment to supporting reliable and sustainable energy systems. By creating its own standalone brand, the company aims to reinforce its position as a leading global energy technology provider independent of its former parent.

Despite the branding change, Siemens Energy emphasized that its business strategy, customer relationships, technology roadmap, and partnerships will remain unchanged. The company said the transition to Omterra will be gradual to ensure continuity for customers, employees, suppliers, and business partners while maintaining its focus on delivering energy infrastructure, grid technologies, conventional power solutions, and renewable energy systems through a unified global brand.
