Australia Selects Developers for Nearly 13 GW of Wind and Solar Projects Near Whyalla

South Australia has selected four renewable-energy development proposals representing nearly 13 GW of planned wind and solar capacity across approximately 3,300 square kilometres west of Whyalla. Announced October 18, the projects include a 6 GW wind and solar development by Windlab, a 4.7 GW proposal from Altra Energy, a 1.6 GW wind project from Heron Energy, and an approximately 360 MW solar project from Neoen. The developments are located within the Whyalla West renewable-energy release area on Barngarla Country. Selected companies can progress feasibility studies and licence applications. The selection does not constitute construction approval or a final investment decision. Investment amounts and commissioning schedules remain undisclosed.

Truzon Clean Energies Wins ₹236 Crore EPC Contract for 72 MW Solar Projects in Maharashtra

Hyderabad-based Truzon Clean Energies has secured a ₹236 crore engineering, procurement and construction contract from Hariom Power & Energy for 72 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Maharashtra. Announced October 16, the projects will be developed under PM-KUSUM Component C across Hingoli, Latur, Parbhani and Beed districts. Truzon, formerly Suntek Energy Systems, has already executed 15 MW of the contracted capacity. Its responsibilities include design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and performance demonstration. The completed portfolio is expected to generate approximately 89.89 million electricity units annually. The companies have not disclosed the full project commissioning timetable or individual site capacities.

Juniper Green Energy Commissions Additional 65.4 MW Wind Capacity in India

Indian renewable-energy developer Juniper Green Energy commissioned an additional 65.40 MW of wind generation capacity on October 16 through its wholly owned subsidiary Juniper Green Stellar. The commissioning forms part of a 200 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project combining wind, solar and battery storage. Following the latest addition, commissioned generation capacity under the project reached approximately 434.35 MWp, supported by around 201 MWh of battery storage. The project’s planned generation capacity totals 550.6 MWp. Juniper Green reported aggregate operational generation capacity of approximately 2,811 MWp, alongside 603 MWh of battery storage, across its subsidiaries. The company disclosed the milestone through a stock exchange filing.
