Trinasolar to Supply 562 MWdc Floating Solar Project in Vietnam

Trinasolar has been selected to supply modules for the 450 MWac / 562 MWdc Dầu Tiếng 5 Floating Solar and Storage Project in Tây Ninh Province, Vietnam. Developer DT5.1 Energy JSC, part of Xuan Cau Holdings, broke ground on the project on August 4, 2026, with commercial operation targeted for December 2027. Trinasolar will supply Vertex N modules rated at 730–735 W using n-type i-TOPCon technology. The floating solar project is expected to generate about 808 GWh annually. It will also be among the early projects using Vietnam’s Direct Power Purchase Agreement framework. The modules provide 80±5 percent bifaciality and dual-glass construction designed for the humid floating-solar environment.

Cheche Proposes Investment in $490 Million Solar-Plus-Storage Business

Cheche Group has signed a non-binding term sheet to acquire an initial 20 percent stake in Long Way Fortune, a residential solar-plus-storage company operating in Australia and Singapore. The proposed stock-for-stock transaction values the target at an implied $490 million equity valuation. Cheche could increase ownership to as much as 51 percent if specified performance and transaction conditions are met. The company is targeting completion of the initial investment by December 31, 2026, subject to due diligence, definitive agreements and regulatory approvals. Long Way Fortune combines LFP batteries, residential solar, energy-management software and installer networks. Cheche intends to integrate energy storage with EV financing, insurance, mobility services and eventually AI-driven household energy management.

DIMAAG and Toshiba Develop 10C Battery Storage for AI Power Infrastructure

DIMAAG-AI and Toshiba International are developing a high-power battery energy storage platform using Toshiba SCiB lithium-titanium-oxide cells. Toshiba has shipped more than 100 million SCiB cells since 2010, while DIMAAG is integrating the cells with its immersion-cooled Zenius battery architecture and ZettaWatt Power Platform. The system is being engineered for continuous 10C charging and discharging over a targeted 10-plus-year service life. Applications include load smoothing, grid stabilization, low-voltage ride-through, backup power and demand response. DIMAAG says the platform can reduce cyclic AI-load fluctuations seen by the grid to less than 1 percent and supports modular expansion as power requirements grow.
