Rabbalshede Kraft Starts Construction of 108.2 MWp Solar Projects in Finland

Swedish renewable-energy developer Rabbalshede Kraft has started construction of two Finnish solar farms with combined capacity of 108.2 MWp. The developments comprise the 36.7 MWp Lamminneva project in Lappajärvi, South Ostrobothnia, and the 71.5 MWp Isoneva project in Suonenjoki, North Savo. Combined annual electricity generation is estimated at approximately 98 GWh, equivalent to the consumption of around 9,800 households. Both projects are scheduled to begin operation in spring 2027. The developments secured €9.1 million in European Union funding through the Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism. Finnish company Neova developed the projects, while Rabbalshede Kraft assumed full ownership following the investment decision.

Endesa Invests €14.6 Million in 23.95 MW Solar Project in Mallorca

Spanish electricity company Endesa has started construction of a 23.95 MW solar photovoltaic complex in Santanyí, Mallorca, representing an investment of approximately €14.6 million. The development comprises two solar farms named Goleta and Xalana. Annual electricity production is expected to reach 42 GWh, equivalent to consumption by approximately 12,000 households. Commercial operation is scheduled for the second half of 2027. Endesa is offering local residents, businesses and organisations an opportunity to invest up to €2.7 million in the development. Construction is expected to employ more than 80 people at peak activity. The project will use bifacial solar panels, robotic installation equipment and drones for construction monitoring.

CGN Brasil Starts Construction of 70.8 MW Tanque Novo Solar Project in Bahia

CGN Brasil has started construction of the 70.8 MW Tanque Novo photovoltaic project in Caetité, Bahia, Brazil. The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 144 million kWh annually, with grid connection scheduled for July 9, 2027. The project will use infrastructure associated with CGN’s existing Tanque Novo wind farm, allowing the developer to combine solar and wind generation in the same region. Electricity generated by the new solar facility will be supplied to the São Paulo Metro. CGN plans to recruit and train local workers during construction and expand procurement opportunities for regional suppliers. The project adds photovoltaic generation to the company’s established Brazilian renewable-energy portfolio.
