GridStor Secures $58 Million Tax Equity Financing for Texas Battery Project

US battery storage developer GridStor has secured $58 million in tax equity financing from Foss & Company for a utility-scale battery energy storage facility in Hidalgo County, Texas. The transaction was structured as a partnership-flip investment and supports monetisation of federal Section 48 Investment Tax Credits. The project remains scheduled to enter commercial service in October 2026. This is the second financing transaction between GridStor and Foss & Company. GridStor develops, acquires, builds and operates standalone battery storage projects in North America. Foss & Company has deployed more than $11 billion in tax equity investments across renewable energy and other qualifying assets since its establishment. The project’s storage capacity was not disclosed in the financing announcement.

Canadian Solar Wins 200 MWh Battery Contract for OX2 Solar Project in Australia

Canadian Solar subsidiary e-STORAGE has signed a contract to supply and commission a 100 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system for OX2’s Muswellbrook Solar Farm and Battery project in New South Wales, Australia. The installation will use SolBank 3.0 battery containers, power-conversion equipment and e-STORAGE’s EQ-S Energy Management System. A hybrid plant controller will coordinate battery operation with the adjoining solar facility. Battery shipments are scheduled to begin in Q3 2027, with commercial operation targeted for Q3 2028. The contract includes a 20-year service agreement covering equipment, software and system performance. The project occupies former coal-mining land in the Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone.

Turbo Energy Commissions 62.5 MWh Battery Storage Across Three Spanish Factories

Spanish energy technology company Turbo Energy has brought 62.5 MWh of battery storage into commercial operation across three industrial facilities operated by ECO Porcelánico, Compacglass and TAU Porcelánico. The installations are part of the Pamesa Net Zero programme and operate alongside 34 MWp of installed photovoltaic capacity. The commissioned systems form part of Turbo Energy’s previously announced $53 million contract to deliver 366 MWh of storage across 10 factories. More than 130 MWh of battery equipment was delivered during the first half of 2026. The company says the first three operating facilities have avoided approximately 421 tonnes of CO₂ emissions since initial operation began in July. Remaining installations are undergoing integration and commissioning.

INTILION Wins 98 MWh Battery Contract for 64.8 MW German Wind Farm

German battery technology company INTILION will supply and commission a 98 MWh battery energy storage system alongside the 64.8 MW Kloddram wind farm in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The battery will be installed at Jesow and provide approximately 45 MVA of power capacity. INTILION’s scope includes battery containers, transformers, switchgear, inverters, control systems and commissioning. The project will use the company’s modular scalecube battery platform and INTILION Application Unit for grid-compliant operation. A long-term service package guarantees 97 percent system availability. The wind farm is under construction, with the battery being developed in parallel. The co-located arrangement will allow wind generation and storage to share grid infrastructure and support flexible electricity dispatch.
