The latest renewable energy news includes announcements from Deutsche WindGuard, DEME Offshore Energy, Goldwind, and others.

Deutsche WindGuard Renewable Monitoring Portfolio Passes 1 GW

Deutsche WindGuard has exceeded 1 GW of renewable-energy capacity under 24/7 technical monitoring for the first time. Its Varel control centre now supervises assets across Germany and the Netherlands, including wind farms, solar photovoltaic installations, hybrid projects and battery energy storage systems. The milestone highlights the expanding operations-and-maintenance market created by Europe’s rapidly growing renewable fleet. Monitoring centres continuously track generation, equipment performance, alarms and operating conditions, enabling faults to be identified and addressed more quickly while supporting regulatory, health-and-safety and cybersecurity requirements. Deutsche WindGuard’s move beyond conventional wind monitoring into solar, batteries and hybrid projects also reflects the increasingly integrated nature of renewable portfolios as developers combine multiple generation technologies and storage within individual sites.

DEME Offshore Energy Revenue Reaches Record €1.21 Billion as US, Taiwan and Europe Projects Advance

DEME’s Offshore Energy division generated a record €1.207 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, up 6 percent year over year, supported by offshore projects in the United States, Taiwan and Europe. Segment EBITDA reached €321.8 million, representing a 26.7 percent margin, while EBIT was €201.5 million. DEME Group’s total turnover rose 2 percent to €2.2 billion, EBITDA reached €466 million, and net profit increased 20 percent to €215 million. The group ended the period with a €7.1 billion order book. Two new offshore installation vessels, Norse Wind and Norse Energi, entered operation during the half, increasing DEME’s capacity to handle larger next-generation offshore wind foundations and turbines.

Goldwind Overseas Turbine Orders Pass 9.4 GW as Total Backlog Reaches 51 GW

Goldwind’s external wind-turbine order backlog has reached approximately 51 GW, including more than 9.4 GW of overseas orders, which increased 28.93 percent year over year. The Chinese turbine manufacturer generated RMB 33.74 billion of revenue in the first half of 2026, up 18.23 percent, while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 24.67 percent to RMB 1.85 billion. Adjusted net profit increased 47.79 percent to RMB 2.02 billion. The expanding international backlog is particularly significant as Chinese manufacturers increase penetration of overseas wind markets through larger turbines, local production and service networks. Goldwind’s 51 GW contracted pipeline provides considerable future turbine-delivery visibility and demonstrates the scale of equipment demand supporting global onshore and offshore wind construction.
